Seoul city government has selected eight creative ideas from its citizens that will be put into working practice to help develop and improve the capital. From the many ideas posted on the website "seouloasis.net", which was set up to allow people to discuss their thoughts for the capital last month, the best eight were picked through a tiered process by the municipal government. From over 1,424 ideas, 106 were selected and narrowed down to 16 and then to just nine. The city held a meeting on Tuesday, where Mayor Oh Se-hoon, along with other officials and members of the public decided to put eight of them into practice.

¡ß Transparent bridge
The city will make transparent sections of the ¡°sky bridge¡± to be completed in 2009 that links Sky Park and Noeul Park in Nanjido. This fun idea will make you feel you¡¯re walking in the sky when you cross the bridge.
¡ß More transport card terminals on busses
City buses have only one terminal for transport cards; they will be increased to two on both sides of the door. Some 30 to 50 buses in crowded lines will be equipped with two terminals by April next year.

The original idea was to have a ¡°miniature city¡± floating on the Han River. It has ended up being a miniature structure as part of ¡°garden on the water¡± near the Han River¡¯s Jamsu Bridge, to be completed by October 2008.
¡ß A place for 'Nanta' near the Han River
